CONFERENCE DATES
December 16 - 18, 2015 VENUE The conference will take place at the Kunduchi Beach Hotel in Dar es Salaam. The hotel is located approximately 20 kilometres from the city centre (see map to the left). ACCOMMODATION You will need to arrange for your own accommodation in Dar es Salaam during the conference. The most practical possibility is probably to stay at the conference hotel. If you wish to do so, we recommend that you make your booking as early as possible. Please contact the hotel directly for your booking (contact details can be found here). Please inform the hotel about your conference participation and ask for a discounted conference room rate. TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS You will need to arrange for your own travel to the conference venue. VISA Please note that participants from some countries need a visa to enter Tanzania. If required, it is your own responsibility to apply for and obtain yout visa, and to cover the costs in connection with the visa application. Details about Tanzanian visa regulations can be found at the website of the Tanzanian Immigration Services Department. (If you follow a link from this page, you can see whether a visa is required from the country you travel from.) Visitors from most countries can obtain their visa upon arrival in Tanzania, for example at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. The standard visa fee is USD 50 (but it is different for nationals from some countries). A letter of invitation to the conference will be issued in your name when you have registered for participation in the conference and your registration has been accepted and your payment of the registration fee received. TRAVEL INSURANCE Please note that foreign conference participants are required to obtain a travel insurance that covers as a minimum loss of values and property, medical treatment, and emergency evacuation to the home country. The cost of the insurance must be covered by the participants themselves. |
